AJK College of Arts and Science Coimbatore (Autonomous), an institution accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, recently organized a spectacular event that left both students and the culinary community in awe. On the 20th of October 2023, the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management orchestrated an International Chef Day Rally near the Cosmopolitan Club Race Course.

The rally commenced with great enthusiasm, and it was an honor to have some of the city’s most esteemed chefs at the flag-off ceremony. Chef Saratchandra Banerji, the Executive Chef of Vivanta Coimbatore, led the way, joined by Chef Mohamed Sameem J, Executive Chef of The Residency Towers Coimbatore, and Chef Dominic Xavier, Executive Chef of Le Meridien Coimbatore.

This culinary extravaganza took place in the presence of distinguished guests, including in the Presence of Prof. Dr Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan Vice Chancellor Convenor Committee Member Bharathiar University Coimbatore Secretary AJK College of Arts and Science also graced the event with their presence.

The highlight of the day was the active participation of students from various departments who demonstrated their unbridled enthusiasm, showcasing the college’s vibrant and diverse community. It was a celebration of culinary art and a testament to the commitment of AJK College in providing its students with a well-rounded educational experience.
