AJK College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, renowned for its esteemed autonomous status and A+ accreditation by NAAC, Department of Visual Communication recently hosted vibrant activities through its Photography Club. An Interdepartmental Photography Contest themed “Mood or Emotion” was organized, inviting participation from AJKCAS students, faculty, and staff members alike.

The primary purpose of the contest was to offer students practical experience in the art of photography within the context of contemporary convergence. Participation was encouraged to foster a culture of creativity and visual expression among the student body.

The contest, held on 12th February 2024, attracted enthusiastic participants from various departments of AJK college of Arts and Science Coimbatore. Winners were chosen based on their creative interpretation of the theme “Mood or Emotion” and were celebrated for their outstanding contributions. Their captivating photographs resonated with the essence of the theme, showcasing a diverse range of emotions and moods captured through the lens of their cameras.

Through the event, students gained invaluable insights into photography techniques, mastering aspects such as timing, lighting, and the art of visual storytelling.
