AJK College of Arts and Science Coimbatore (Autonomous), an A+ Accredited Institution by NAAC, actively participates in the Department of National Service Scheme (NSS) and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) events at Bharathiar University. A dedicated participant Dr. M. Jasmine Priya played a pivotal role in the NSS Programme Officers Meeting, Release of RRC Grant, Peer Educator Training, and Voters Awareness Campaign on 22nd March 2024, showcasing commitment to promoting social awareness and responsibility.

During the NSS Programme Officers Meeting, they collaborated with fellow officers to strategize and enhance NSS initiatives. The Release of RRC Grant marked a significant milestone, with AJK College’s Red Ribbon Club (RRC) receiving financial support from the Tamil Nadu Aids Control Society (TANSACS), strengthening their efforts in combating HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Roopa Registrar and Dr. Annadurai NSS Coordinator, along with Mr. Gopalakrishnan from TANSACS, provided valuable insights into the importance of NSS activities and HIV/AIDS awareness during the event. Additionally, the Peer Educator Training session facilitated interactive discussions and ice-breaking activities, engaging students from II DCFS.

The Voters Awareness Campaign emphasized civic responsibility, culminating in a voters’ pledge. The participants, NSS Programme Officers, and students received well-deserved appreciation and certificates, acknowledging their contributions to fostering positive change through NSS and RRC initiatives at Bharathiar University.
