The Coimbatore District Football Association hosted an Induction Ceremony for its elected office bearers on August 6, 2023, at Residency Towers, Coimbatore. Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, the Secretary of AJK College of Arts and Science  and a Syndicate member of Bharathiar University, was elected and took over the responsibility of the President of Coimbatore District Football Association. The other elected Coimbatore District Football Association (CDFA) office bearers are Mr.Shanmuga Sundaram, Mr.Ramasamy, Mr.Jesudasan and Mr.Anand Krishnan as Vice Presidents. Mr Krishnamurthy as the Secretary, Mr. Chandra Kumar as the Deputy Secretary, Mr. Srinivasan as Treasurer. Mr. Siva Shanmugam, Mr. Saravanan , Mr. Senthilprabu, Mr.Wesley Rajkumar, Mr. Anandan, Mr. Selvasingh, Mr. Gunasingh and Mr.Ravikumar as Executive Committee Members. Mr. Marudu Pandian, President, Criminal Bar Association, Coimbatore was the special guest of the ceremony.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, President of the CDFA, emphasised that the required steps will be taken to assist football players in the Coimbatore area to compete successfully at the state, national, and international levels. Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan further stated that women’s football matches would be held. Additionally, it has been decided to conduct football tournaments at the high school and college levels in the district.

Prof. Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan also emphasised the value of teamwork that can help to make Coimbatore a special football district in India. He also said that sponsors for conducting CDFA football tournament are welcome.
