The Department of Biotechnology, AJK College of Arts and Science, organized an industrial visit to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) – BU Centre for Life Science, for Biotechnology students, providing them with a unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge advancements in defence biotechnology on 2 August, 2024. This visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical applications, offering students first-hand exposure to sophisticated technologies, innovative research and real-world applications in defence and national security. Experts at DRDO provided valuable insights into on-going projects, showcasing how biotechnology plays a crucial role in developing strategic solutions. Interacting with scientists and researchers, students explored the latest advancements in bio-defence, medical research and technological innovations. This experience not only enriched their academic knowledge but also inspired them to pursue careers in biotechnology research and development.
